chef

My name is Witek Iwański and I invite you to my restaurant hub.praga!

The Hub is a reflection of my experiences, fascinations and views. I believe in sustainable cuisine, the need to approach both our surroundings and products with respect and care. My menus are short and dynamic, resonating with the seasons of the year and the place I live. I am looking for a balance between plant-based cuisine and animal-based products. As a Chef, I have been shaped by my trips and internships in some of the most interesting restaurants in the world, including the Scandinavian Maaemo, Frantzen, as well as Daniel Berlin and Azurmendia in Spain.

As a two-time winner of the Polish Culinary Cup, I have had an opportunity to take a course at the Paul Bocuse Institute in Lyon and at the Basque Culinary Center in San Sebastian. I have been awarded the title of Chef of the Year in Poland by the International Academy of Gastronomy and the Gault&Millaut guide. I have built teams in some of the most demanding culinary concepts in Poland.

By opening hub.praga, I have both closed a chapter and started anew. I am committed to building a friendly space where I can show my interpretations of contemporary culinary trends and modern Polish cuisine.

See you soon!
